Ghostwriting

Books, eBooks and White Papers

Black woman-owned brand. Very different from myself, and a dramatic backstory for what could have been a dry subject.

This is not exactly a book, but I was so proud of this listicle written for an Amazon affiliate that I had to include it. The somewhat macabre "books to read before you die" keyword came at the request of the client.

The challenge this insurance company gave me for their lead magnet eBook was to make flood insurance interesting and funny — not exactly easy. I found humor in the very dryness of the topic and used storytelling to build urgency.

Video Scripts

For Halloween, a home remodeling contractor client wanted an "Addams Family"-themed video ad. I had to avoid using copyrigh-protected material while keeping it light, funny, and on-theme. This is also a good example of a client that wanted visual guidance for included with the narration script, so I used a two-column format to juxtapose the narrator's lines with the required visual media.

This was a script for a series of Youtube videos a REALTOR® wanted to make, describing various residential areas near Orlando for prospective homebuyers. The goal was to keep it fun, amusing, and entertaining. I delivered this script ready to be uploaded to a teleprompter.

The goal of this script was to activate the altruistic emotions of viewers whose lvoed ones had been victims of nursing home abuse —to enocourage them to fight back so that no one else's family ever had to go through what they went through. Another example of the two-column narration/visual media guidance.

You can find the completed version of this ad in the "Video Creation" section of this portfolio, as I also produced the finished video.

Social Media

This blog required me to make the case for fine vintage wine as an investment vehicle for a company that brokered investment wine. It was a fun variation on my frequent financial writing assignments.

This client helps high-net-worth individuals acquire second citizenships in other countries. The job was for me to connect the motivations behind crypto investment to the motivations behind second citizenship. It was a fun chance to pontificate on the fall of empires.

The client came up with this title as a spin on the "dos" and "don'ts" blog for a relatively dry topic — Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs). I ran with the Biblical theme by phrasing each sin as "commandments" — "Thou shalt not etc."

This was an excercise in making a relatively arcane real estate topic palatable for lay audiences.

Social Media Content

My task for this YouTube Short script was to research the topic from a prompt from the client, match the tone of the client's other Shorts, make it funny and fascinating, and limit it to one minute.

I was required to provide copy for Instagram Carousel images — both the caption and the text that appears on the IG images themselves. Since Meta carefully polices this niche, I had to stay ahead of Meta's content standards.

For these LinkedIn posts, I brainstormed several recurring themes designed to drive engagement, including polls, questions, and recurring segments like "Thought For The Day" and "Numbers Are Scary."

This multifamily real estate marketing agency wanted their LinkedIn posts to be long and informative.
