Ryan Fowler SOS is a hypnotherapist and performance coach for high-ticket sales reps. My first job was to write a script for a social media ad that Ryan would then record.
Once the raw video was recorded, my job was to edit it, remove bad takes, and add subtitles and music, as well as to produce versions in three aspect ratios (square, 9:16, and 16:9) for display on different devices and platforms.
Ryan also provided me with four raw, uncut video testimonials. My job was to identify the most impactful portions of those testimonials and include them strategically within the video. I chose to add the most impactful testimonials (big numbers, compelling stories, fit to the ideal client avatar) at the beginning. I used the most prestigious testimonial about 2/3 in for further social proof.
I did all the hands-on cutting, editing, and optimization of this video myself. No outsourcers, just AI-powered tools like Fliki and Descript. I also produced and finished about 90 minutes of online course content for Ryan's high-ticket offer.
One challenge I faced was a mistake Ryan made in the reading of the script, where he accidentally read "95%" instead of "5%." Through creative editing, I was able to cut out the "ninety" he spoke aloud, leaving only "5%," eliminating the need for Ryan to do a whole new take.
The Code Purple Project is a nonprofit foundation started by a family after their son's mental health crisis and subsequent artistic output (music, art, etc.)
My job was to create a "trailer" for their YouTube channel. I was responsible for this video from start to finish. I wrote the script, selected and assembled stock footage, and produced the AI voiceover content.
I initially used license-free stock music as the background audio for the video, but the family asked me to use one of their son's songs, written and recorded while in inpatient treatment, as the background music. The problem I faced was that the most of the song has sung lyrics, which distracted from the voiceover narration.
I solved this problem by isolating short portions of the track that were instrumental-only and then looping those sections to create the background music for the voiceover narration. At select moments in the video, I was able to incorporate portions with lyrics.
At the family's request, I added a "Subscribe" animation at the end. I used stock animation, as well as a "mouse click" and "bell" sound from a stock audio library.
The client asked me to produce, from start-to-finish, a video on Monopoly strategy. I built the video from stock imagery, as well as license-free or public-domain imagery.
Unsatisfied with the results from AI voiceover generation for this script, I elected to record live spoken audio myself.
I produced this VSL from stock video I selected, product imagery provided by the client, and a script provided by the client. Because I was unsatisfied with the AI voice simulators I had access to at the time, I recorded the voiceover myself.
The client wanted a humorous angle on the subject manor. Whole-house fans for energy efficiency probably don't come up very often in the writer's room of Saturday Night Live, but I was pretty proud of what I came up with for this script.
The AI voiceover was produced by an outsourced team. Since AI doesn't always have a sense of humor when interpreting a script, I provided creative direction to make sure that the right words were emphasized to make the opening joke work. The offshore editing team did a great job selecting an opening stock video clip to serve the joke.
